Yorkshire Road Relay Championships

The senior women rounded off an outstanding winter season by winning the Yorkshire road relay championships to add to the haul of medals throughout the cross country and road relay season.

Charlotte Slack, fittingly as team manager, led off the team and put them in a strong position with 4th place in 14:18. Che Wigfield-Turner continued her fine form moving the team into the lead with a time of 13:55. Nicola Birch, making her debut in the A team, maintained the position, recording 14:11. Nicola Squires used her experience on the final leg, running 15:04, to clinch the gold medal and the Yorkshire title.

The senior men’s event saw our development squad of U20 athletes finish an encouraging 6th.

Dylan Steven’s got the team off to a good start, finishing 4th on the opening leg in 12:28. Jonah Patton ran 13:01 to take 8th place. Seb Muscroft moved the team up one place with a time of 13:26. Euan Patton brought the team home in 6th place with 12:13.
