Andy Heyes, in his first race since the marathon, faced a high quality field in the British 10k road championships. In a leading group containing Mo Farah and Chris Thompson for most of the race, Andy finished 7th in 29:26.

Cat Allen also performed well to run agonisingly close to her pb, finish 136th in the women’s race in 39:22

Issy Dunning had a fine run to produce a new pb of 44:14 and finish 101st in the women’s race.
