Seven Harriers made the Friday evening trip across the Pennines to race in the Mid-Cheshire 5K and were rewarded with a series of PBs.
Cameron Bell ran 14:20 to finish an impressive second in a competitive field. Passing through the 4k mark in seventh place, Cameron finished strongly on the slightly downhill final kilometre to come through the pack and cross the line just a few strides behind winner David Devine (Liverpool).
Next Harrier home was John Birch in 39th (15:08), followed by Sam Kenmore in 115th (16:11), Richard Barker 156th (16:38) and Luke Townsend 171st (16:49).
In the women’s race, Che Wigfield-Turner had an excellent run to break the 18 minute barrier. She finished 32nd in 17:50. Nicola Birch also continued her good recent form with a new PB of 18:25 to finish 41st.
