Parliament Hill

It was another large turnout from the Senior Endurance Group to complete the cross country season in the mud at the historic Parliament Hill course.
The senior women rounded off an exceptionally successful season with another fine team performance—despite being depleted by illness and injury—they finished 6th in the team competition. Charlotte Slack as team captain was the first over the line in 50th in 32.47. Harriet Wingfield, in her debut season, was 65th in 33.28. Eve Pannone was just behind in 72nd in 33.43. Nicky Squires produced another strong run to take 95th in 34.32. Cat Allen battled her way to 229th in the mud in 37.17 with Ellie Crownshaw following up in 306th (38.54). Kirsty Bryan-Jones made a welcome return to racing, finishing 734th in 47.35.
The senior men finished 9th in the 9-man team and 12th in the 6-man team competition. Andy Heyes was the leading HHS runner in 9th in 42:48. Chris Law was 102nd in 46;29, Jed Bartlett 154th in 47:16, John Birch 157th in 47:31, Jamie Hall 169th in 47:31, Leo Cossham 173rd in 47:34, Cameron Bell (undertaking the UKA course on tying shoe laces) 197th in 48:09, Connor Milnes 203rd in 48:15 and Matt Fuller 212th in 48:22.
Euan Brown was 277th in 49:22, Kieron Sexton 296th in 49:33, Christian Battersby 320th in 49:52, David Lewis 360th in 50:44, Wyatt Hill 378th in 50:54, Pete Hodges 404th in 51:19, Josh Williams 466th in 52:15, Jon Slate 929th in 58:32 and James Hartley 1109th in 60:52.
In the U20W race, Hannah Metherall and Laura Trask both ran well, finishing 26th (27:23) and 60th (28:47) respectively.
The U20m were 12th in the team competition. Ben Sharrock led the team home with a good run in 38th (35:50. Alex Mason was 7oth in 37.05, Jonah Patton 130th in 39:38, Dylan Stevens 147th in 40:22, Sam Tierney 165th in 41:37 and Seb Muscroft 172nd in 42:15.
Euan Patton was up with the leading pack throughout, finishing 23rd in 22:58.
