Mansfield
Despite illness and injury, SEG still managed to field 3 full SM and SW teams and 2 U20 teams.
The SM A team got off to an unfortunate start when Connor Milnes was tripped on the start line and began his run towards the back of the field. Connor worked his way through to 50th in 16:13.60. Euan Brown gained 10 places with a time of 17:10.10. Chris Lawes finished in 39th in 17.16 and James McCrae Brough the team to a respectable 29th with 15;15.75.
Johnie Crickmore for the B team off to a great start finishing 37th in 16:08.30 (the fastest leg of the day for HHS). Leo Cossham was 38th in 17:06.30. Kieron Sexton moved into 36th with 17:09. Tom Buckley came home in 35th (the 6th fastest B team) in 18:03.50.
Craig Fishwick led out the C team, finishing 88th in 18:01.05. Ryan Griffiths was 79th in 18:03.30. Tom Harrison moved into 72nd in 18:22.50. Christian Battersby brought the team home in 66th in 18:23.25.
Evie Brailsford opened on the first leg for the SW A team, finishing 25th in 10:34.65. Katie Palfreeman moved through the field to 11th in 10:31.55. Saskia Huxham brought the team home in 13th in 11:13.10 (unknowingly running with an infected appendix).
Charlotte Slack had her best run of the winter, putting the B team into 24th on the opening leg in 10:31.45 (the fastest leg of the day for HHS). Eve Pannone maintained the position with 11:23.75. Nicola Squires finished 26th in 11:24.30. Outstanding running by the team to finish 2nd B team.
Ellie Crownshaw was 54th in 11:26.35 on the opening leg for the C team. Chen Wigfield-Turner moved up to 45th in 11:40.00 and Lucy Farquhar brought the team home in 41st in 12:34.60.
Dylan Stevens ran a strong opening leg for the U20M team; finishing 40th in 9:32.80. Sam Tierney was 45th in 10:47.55. Jonah Patton completed the team, finishing 40th in 10:21.80.
The team performance of the day came from the U20W who finished in 10th. Shen Wigfield-Turner opened with a time of 9:09.30 for 14th. Laura Trask moved into 12th with 9:57.15. Hannah Metherall was involved in a close race for the line, finishing 10th on 9:44.15.
